Disabling Windows Print Spooler Service


As of 7/15/2021, it was confirmed that the Microsoft patch KB5004945 mitigating the "Print Nightmare" vulnerability doesn't work, and any Windows 10 system can be compromised through the local privilege escalation by connecting to the Print Spooler service, it is recommended to disable the service on your systems until a new Microsoft fix is released.

In case you need to print, start the Print Spooler service, print, then stop the service. Keep it disabled until Microsoft fixes the vulnerability. On how to disable and enable the Print Spooler service please follow the instructional video below:
